Phys 5090 LaTeX stuff

• The first latex assignment.

• The departmental linux boxes all have latex installed already.

• The MiKTeX tex compiler for windows, and the WinEdt editor which works well for editing the documents with MikTeX. Grant's favorite “IDE” style editor is TeXnic Center, also a windows program.

• A WYSIWYG tex editor (available on unix) is LyX.

• nu oscillation paper latex source (zipfile).

• The REVTeX package.

• A sample revtex document. You can use this as your template when writing up your own stuff.

• Beamer is a great package for making presentations using latex (to replace powerpoint). Turns out the Wikipedia page says most of what I was about to type up anyway.
